SETUP

Follow these steps in order.

  1. Allow Accessibility

    In Yapper Settings, choose Open Settings. Enable Yapper in macOS Accessibility, then return and choose Check Again.

  2. Choose your provider

    Choose Fish Audio under Choose your provider.

  3. Add your Fish Audio API key

    Sign in to Fish Audio, create a dedicated API key, and copy it. Return to Yapper and paste it into API key.

  4. Choose your narrator

    Choose the free or paid S2.1 model. Leave Voice ID empty for the default narrator, or browse the voice library and paste a library or custom model ID. Then set pace, delivery, expressiveness, and streaming quality.

  5. Set playback

    Playback speed changes audio locally on your Mac. Narration pace and delivery change how Fish Audio performs the text.

  6. Choose a keyboard shortcut

    Choose the shortcut button, then press the key combination you want to use in any app.

  7. Save and finish

    Choose Save and Finish. Select a short sentence and press your shortcut to test the connection.
